Ingredients For fra diavolo

  • 1 lb
    shrimp cooked and deveined(see directions below for cooking shrimp)
  • 1 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 7 Tbsp
    evoo
  • 1 md
    onion sliced
  • 1 c
    dry white wine
  • 3 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp
    fresh oregano or 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
  • 3 Tbsp
    cilantro chopped
  • 3 Tbsp
    fresh basil chopped
  • 2 c
    red cherry tomatos halved
  • 2 c
    yellow cherry tomatoes halved
  • 4 oz
    capers
  • bread crumbs(progresso)
  • 1/4 c
    chopped cilantro
  • 1 1/4 c
    grated pecorrino romano

How To Make fra diavolo

    Preheat oven to 375*F
  • 2
    Butter a 13x9x2 baking dish and place halved tomatoes, capers, 3TBL. of olive oil, salt and pepper and toss well.

    Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top. Drizzle with olive oil and bake 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool 5 minutes

    Toss shrimp in a bowl with salt and red pepper flakes. Heat 3 Tbl. oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Saute shrimp for about 1 minute.

    Remove the shrimp add another 1 to 2 Tbl. oil and saute onion. Add wine, garlic and oregano. Add the baked tomatoes and simmer 10 minutes.

    Add shrimp, basil and parsley and stir to coat.

    Cook the pasta al dente according to the package directions. Drain. Add to skillet and toss to coat. Sprinkle with cheese an serve.
