Ingredients For salmon steaks in cider

  • 4
    salmon steaks
  • 2 Tbsp
    soft butter
  • 3-4 sprig
    fresh terragon, dill or thyme
  • 1
    lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c
    apple cider
  • mayonnaise or hollandaise

How To Make salmon steaks in cider

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Butter a shallow casserole dish with a tight-fitting lid (or use foil to make a tight seal).

    Place salmon steaks in casserole dish and spread with butter. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Place a sprig of herb on top of each steak and cover with 2 slices of lemon.

    Heat cider and pour into the bottom of the casserole dish; cover tightly. Bake about 25 to 30 minutes until the salmon flakes easily. Serve with pan juices and either mayonnaise or Hollandaise sauce.
