salmon (6 oz)
1 c
panko bread crumbs
eggs beaten
3 Tbsp
heaping mayonnaise
1 1/2 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp
fresh lemon juice
1 tsp
dry mustard
2 Tbsp
vegetable oil
2 pinch
emeril's essence (recipe below)
shakes of dill
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp
fresh basil chopped

How to Make Salmon Patties


  • 1Mix all ingredients together except the vegetable oil. Taste and adjust seasoning accordingly to your preference. Chill for 30 minutes in refrigerator to allow flavors to combine.
  • 2Form mixture into about 6 patties. Heat vegetable oil and fry the salmon patties until golden brown. About 4 minutes each side. As a note, I have used cooked salmon in lieu of canned salmon and it came out great! Make your own tartar sauce or garlic aoli and serve away!
  • 3Emeril's Essence Recipe from Food Network: Ingredients
    2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
    2 tablespoons salt
    2 tablespoons garlic powder
    1 tablespoon black pepper
    1 tablespoon onion powder
    1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
    1 tablespoon dried oregano
    1 tablespoon dried thyme

    Combine all ingredients thoroughly. Put in a jar and use it for many things!
