  • 1/2 c
    unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 c
    pecans, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    flat-leaf parsley, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh lemon zest
  • 1 tsp
    fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp
    fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 4
    salmon steaks (6-oz each)
  • 1 Tbsp
    pecan oil or oil of your choice
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper

How to Make Grilled Salmon with Pecan Butter


  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the pecan butter ingredients (butter through 1/4 tsp. black pepper); beat until well blended. Set aside.
  2. Rub salmon with oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill, broil or pan-sear for 4-5 minutes on each side or until salmon is cooked to desired doneness. Transfer to dinner plates or a serving platter. Top each with a dollop of pecan butter. Pass the remaining butter.
