A different approach to Salmon...as requested by my son.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon, skinless filet
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

How To Make blackened salmon

  • Step 1
    In a small bowl combine all the seasonings.
  • Step 2
    cut the salmon in half and put the seasonings on both sides of each piece.
  • Step 3
    heat a skillet to med-high...carefully add the butter and olive oil
  • Step 4
    place each piece in pan 2-3 mins each side...depending on thickness.....don't over cook, it will become dry...serve with lemon
