Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    salmon, skinless filet
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    paprika
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil

How to Make Blackened Salmon

Step-by-Step

  1. In a small bowl combine all the seasonings.
  2. cut the salmon in half and put the seasonings on both sides of each piece.
  3. heat a skillet to med-high...carefully add the butter and olive oil
  4. place each piece in pan 2-3 mins each side...depending on thickness.....don't over cook, it will become dry...serve with lemon
