How To Make baked breaded fish fillets
-
Step 1-Preheat oven to 500°F. (400°F or more) -Grease a shallow baking dish (enough to hold all fish without overcrowding). -Pat dry the fish fillets with kitchen paper. -Season the fillets with salt and pepper to taste (do not over do it because the coating is seasoned as well) -In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients (breadcrumbs + seasoning + herbs + cheese) -In another bowl, mix the melted butter with the lemon juice. -Dip the fish fillets in the butter/lemon mixture then in the breadcrumbs mixture. -Place fillets in a greased baking pan. -Bake uncovered at 500°F for 10-15 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork. (depends on fish type and thickness) **I like to drizzle some olive oil or put few butter nobs on the fillets before baking them, so that the breadcrumbs become crispier and more golden. **Don't expect the same color and crispiness of deep fried fish, but it is a really good and tasty alternative. My family loves it.
