I had leftover salads my friend Christine brought over. Since it was Ash Wednesday I had to skip the burger and go with the home made tuna salad. I used lime juice because it was on hand.

Ingredients

  • 1 can solid white tuna
  • 2 tablespoons hellman's canola mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon red onion
  • 1 stalk celery stalk
  • 2 tablespoons progresso italian bread crumbs
  • 2 dashes tabasco
  • 1/2 cup store-bought potato salad
  • 1/2 cup store-bought bean salad
  • 10 - ore-ida mini tater tots
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

How To Make ash wednesday tuna salad plate

  • Step 1
    Bake mini tater tots while making tuna salad. Drain can of tuna and put in a medium sized bowl. Dice celery and red onion. Then add to tuna.
  • Step 2
    Add lime juice, mayonnaise, bread crumbs, and Tabasco sauce. Mix well. Chill while tater tots are baking.
  • Step 3
    Arrange Romaine lettuce on plate. Place scoops of salads on to lettuce. Add a drizzle of your favorite salad dressing. Enjoy with some crackers or bread sticks.
