Ingredients
- 1 - tender stewing chicken
- 1/2 cup - seasoned flour
- 1/2 cup - butter
- 3 - cups boiling water
- 1 - small onion
- 1 - carrot, diced
- 1 - stalk of celery, diced
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup - sour cream
- 1 TBS - flour
How To Make ukrainian stewed chicken

Step 1Cut chicken into serving pieces and coat with the seasoned flour

Step 2Lightly brown in the butter and place into a roasting pan

Step 3Add the boiling water, cover and cook in a 300 degree oven for 1 hour

Step 4Add the veggies and seasoning and continue cooking 1 to 11/2 or till tender

Step 5Blend the flour with the sour cream* and add to the chicken the last 1/2 hour of cooking

Step 6* I find blending a tablespoon of the hot broth to the blended sour cream and flour helps eliminate curdling and repeat the addition of hot broth until it pours nicely.
