I got this recipe from a friend who is from the south, and she swears this is the best way to fry chicken. I agree!!

Ingredients
- 3 cups self rising flour
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons seasoned salt, like lawrys
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 package envelope dry italian dressing mix
- 2 ounces dry onion soup mix
- 1/2 ounce pkg dry spaghetti mix
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 cups crushed cornflakes
- 2 - eggs
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 pounds various chicken parts, like legs, drumsticks, etc.
How To Make the best fried chicken yet

Step 1Heat oven to 350. Spray a 9" x 13" baking pan w/ cooking spray. In lg shallow bowl, combine 1st 9 ingredients.

Step 2In another shallow bowl, beat eggs w/ water. Place 1' of canola or peanut oil in lg deep skillet, heat over med-high heat. Dip each chicken piece into dry coating mix, then into egg mix, then into cornflake mix, and once again into dry coating mix.

Step 3Fry chicken, ( do not crowd the pan,) 4 mins each side. Place chicken in pan, skin side up. Place foil over most of the pan, leaving a little opening to let out steam. Bake 40 mins. Remove foil, bake 5 mins more.
