Ingredients
- 1/2 tablespoon minced fresh hot red chili pepper
- 1 tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon white wine
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger root
- 1/2 teaspoon chinese 5 spice seasoning
- 2 - skinless chicken thighs
- - cooking spray
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped scallions
- 2 tablespoons sliced canned water chestnuts
- 3/4 cup sliced zucchini or yellow crookneck squash
How To Make spicy garlic chicken

Step 1Slice hot pepper and remove seeds

Step 2Combine soy sauce, wine, honey, garlic, ginger root, chinese 5 spice, and hot chili pepper.

Step 3Place chicken in baking dish and pour the soy sauce mixture over chicken. Turn over to coat all sides. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour

Step 4Remove from refrigerator and bake chicken at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until done.

Step 5Spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Add sesame oil and stir fry scallions, water chestnuts, and squash until squash is tender.

Step 6Add cooked chicken to vegetables. Stir, heat and serve.
