Very simple but full of flavor chicken drumsticks. They can be served as an appetizer or a main dish, maybe w/ some spicy cajun or spanish rice? You can always add more hot sauce to make it spicier!

Ingredients

  • 4 large
    chicken drumsticks
  • 1/2 c
    bottled, favorite picante sauce
  • 4 tsp
    frank's red hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1/4 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1
    bayleaf
  • 2 tsp
    canola or vegetable oil

How to Make Slow-cooked, spicy-n-saucy drumsticks

Step-by-Step

  1. Lightly spray a 3-1/2 quart slow-cooker w/ cooking spray. Place chicken in bpottom of cooker. In bowl, whisk together picante sauce, hot sauce, paprika, thyme and bay leaf.
  2. Pour sauce over chicken. Cover, cook on low for 6 hrs, or on high for 3 hrs. Transfer chicken to a lg bowl. Remove bayleaf. Stir in oil. Spoon sauce over chicken.
