Very simple but full of flavor chicken drumsticks. They can be served as an appetizer or a main dish, maybe w/ some spicy cajun or spanish rice? You can always add more hot sauce to make it spicier!

Ingredients

  • 4 large chicken drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup bottled, favorite picante sauce
  • 4 teaspoons frank's red hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 - bayleaf
  • 2 teaspoons canola or vegetable oil

How To Make slow-cooked, spicy-n-saucy drumsticks

  • Step 1
    Lightly spray a 3-1/2 quart slow-cooker w/ cooking spray. Place chicken in bpottom of cooker. In bowl, whisk together picante sauce, hot sauce, paprika, thyme and bay leaf.
  • Step 2
    Pour sauce over chicken. Cover, cook on low for 6 hrs, or on high for 3 hrs. Transfer chicken to a lg bowl. Remove bayleaf. Stir in oil. Spoon sauce over chicken.
