This recipe was born of neccesity, trying to keep a large apartment cool, and unable to afford a.c. The rice I made myself, the rest of the recipe was acquired on a refrigerator "hunt". Sometimes po'man meals are better than any expensive and time consuming one I can come up with...ijs!!

rice a roni creamy 4 cheese blend
3 c
cooked rice, your choice
2 large
boneless grilled chicken breast, sliced
2 medium
spicy brats, thin sliced (i used johnsonville
1 small
each, bell pepper and onion, diced
2 Tbsp
each, cumin and a-1 sweet mesquite dry rub
1/2 pt
mushrooms, or what's left in the fridge
1 jar(s)
15 oz. medium queso
1 stick

How to Make Refridgerator Rice by Iris


  • 1Gather all ingredients, cook rice according to directions.
  • 2Rinse stove top rice of your own to remove excess starch. The butter and queso will make it creamy.
  • 3Add other ingredients one at a time, stirring after each addition.
  • 4Heat thru and serve.
