This recipe was born of neccesity, trying to keep a large apartment cool, and unable to afford a.c. The rice I made myself, the rest of the recipe was acquired on a refrigerator "hunt". Sometimes po'man meals are better than any expensive and time consuming one I can come up with...ijs!!

Ingredients

  • 1 package rice a roni creamy 4 cheese blend
  • 3 cups cooked rice, your choice
  • 2 large boneless grilled chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 medium spicy brats, thin sliced (i used johnsonville
  • 1 small each, bell pepper and onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons each, cumin and a-1 sweet mesquite dry rub
  • 1/2 pint mushrooms, or what's left in the fridge
  • 1 jar 15 oz. medium queso
  • 1 stick butter

How To Make refridgerator rice by iris

  • Step 1
    Gather all ingredients, cook rice according to directions.
  • Step 2
    Rinse stove top rice of your own to remove excess starch. The butter and queso will make it creamy.
  • Step 3
    Add other ingredients one at a time, stirring after each addition.
  • Step 4
    Heat thru and serve.
