Ingredients

200 g
chicken breast cut in cubes
1 medium
egg white
1 Tbsp
all purpose flour
1 Tbsp
corn starch
salt to taste
black pepper

FOR THE SAUCE

1 Tbsp
soy sauce, low sodium
juice of 1 orange
1 c
water
1 Tbsp
sugar
2 clove
garlic minced
1/2 tsp
ginger minced

FOR THE STARCH

1 Tbsp
corn starch
4 Tbsp
water

How to Make Orange Chicken - Low Calorie

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix chicken with egg white, flour, corn starch, salt, and black pepper. Keep aside.
  • 2Mix the sauce ingredients together and keep aside.
  • 3Mix the starch ingredients together and keep aside.
  • 4Add two teaspoons oil in a medium pan, when hot add the chicken, and fry for 3 minutes on high. Turn off heat and immediately cover tightly with a lid and keep a side. The chicken will continue cooking and will stay tender.
  • 5In a pan add the sauce mixture and let it come to a boil, and then add the green onion.
  • 6Stir in the cornstarch mixture, when thick add the chicken, and let it cook on medium low heat for two minutes.
  • 7Serve immediately.
