When I made this I used bone in chicken. I is incredible but pretty messy to eat with the bone in pieces. So I suggest boneless chicken to get all the goodness without the mess.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter flavored olive oil
  • 3-4 pounds boneless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1/2 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced thick
  • 2/3 cup baby carrots cut in half
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup peach jam
  • 1/4 cup spicy mustard
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

How To Make orange chicken

  • Step 1
    Put oil in a heavy skillet. Brown chicken pieces on both sides. Remove chicken from pan. Add vegitables to skillet and sauté 2-3 minutes till crisp tender.
  • Step 2
    Combine remaining ingredients and stir until sugar and cornstarch are dissolved. Add sauce to vegitables in skillet.
  • Step 3
    Return chicken to pan and reduce heat to medium low. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, turning chicken over after 15 minutes. Serve over rice.
