We eat a lot of chicken and I wanted something different so I came up with this sauce to put on my spicy chicken and it took the taste of the chicken to a whole new level. My husband loved it, I will be using it on other meats also.

This sauce is sooo good. It was really yummy on chicken, but I bet it would be great with a quesadilla or chips. The spices were just right for me. If it's too spicy for you, just adjust to suit your taste buds! The Test Kitchen

Ingredients

  • 2
    avocados, scooped out and chopped
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp
    lime juice
  • 1 1/2
    chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, choppped
  • 1/2 pkg
    dry ranch dressing
  • 2 Tbsp
    dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 3-4
    boneless chicken breast
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • ·
    tony chachere's more spice seasoning, or seasoning of your choice
  • 4 Tbsp
    olive oil, enough to sear chicken

How to Make Nelda's Spicy Chicken with Avocado Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. For sauce: In blender or food processor add avocados, sour cream, lime juice, chipotle, ranch, mustard, garlic, salt and pepper. Blend well. For chicken: Salt and pepper chicken and sprinkle with seasoning. Sear chicken in olive oil until done. Serve sauce on top of chicken.
