nana's sweet chicken
As a child my Nana would whip this dish up and I always felt like she spent hours making it perfect. Served with hot buttery rice or egg noodles and you have a meal to remember. Such good memories.

Ingredients
- 4 - boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 package dry onion soup mix
- 1 bottle italian dressing (not creamy)
- 1 jar apricot jam (small)
- 1 - sweet red pepper, cut into thin strips
How To Make nana's sweet chicken

Step 1Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 2qt. casserole dish with vegetable spray.

Step 2In a small bowl mix: dressing, onion soup mix and apricot jam well. Add the cut up peppers to this and mix well until all coated.

Step 3In the casserole dish pour a quarter of the liquid mixture; top with the chicken breasts (salt and pepper lightly). Pour the remaining liquid mixture over the breasts. Cover pan with foil and bake in oven for 1 hour. Remove foil and continue baking for about 15 minutes, turning the breasts if you wish.

Step 4Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving over hot buttered rice or noodles. Enjoy.
