Ingredients
- 1 - boiling chicken
- 1 large onion sliced
- 3 large hardboiled eggs sliced
- 3/4 pound carolina rice
- 4 ounces butter
- 3 ounces raisins
- 3 ounces almonds
- 4 - cloves
- - cayenne pepper and salt to taste
How To Make indian pilau

Step 1First boil your chicken but dont overcook it. As soon as its done, remove from the pan. Wash the rice well and leave to drain. Melt 2 oz butter in a pan, put the sliced onion and fry, add the rice and cook a little, do not let it brown. Add the water in which the chicken was boiled, and the cloves, and simmer gently until rice is soft. If all the water is absorbed before the rice is cooked, add more water. while it is cooking cut the chicken into pieces and fry in the other 2 oz of butter; leave on one side but keep hot. Blanch and split the almonds and bake them in the oven until they are brown. Dish the rice in a heap on a deep hot dish; place the chicken pieces around it and the egg slices, and pile on top the raisins and almonds. serve hot
