A great healthy alternative to pork Italian sausage. Use in all your favorite recipes, and it's great on pizza too!

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces ground turkey or chicken breast
  • 1 medium apple peeled, seeded and grated
  • 1 - teaspoon salt
  • 1 - tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 - teaspoon pepper
  • 2 - teaspoons italian herb seasoning
  • 1 - teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 - teaspoon onion powder
  • 3/4 - teaspoon paprika
  • 3/4 - teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 - teaspoon crushed fennel seeds

How To Make heathy homemade italian sausage

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients until very well combined. Let rest in the refrigerator for 24 hours before using to intensify the flavors.
