crispy fried chicken
One of my favorite dishes when I was little was fried chicken. I got married right out of high school and had no idea how to make it, so I just made this up when I was about 18. For a lot of years it was the only way I knew how to make fried chicken. Now that I'm an old lady, I know several ways to make it, but there are none my kids like better. That's probably just because this is the recipe they grew up eating, but who knows, I'd like to think its because the recipe is just that good! At least that's what I'd like to think... ;)
