THIS WAS TONITES DINNER..CAME OUT GREAT. ATLEAST THATS WAT MY HUSBAND KEPT SAYN n I MUST AGREE :)

Ingredients

  • 8 - pieces of chicken u like (i used 2 bone in n skinless breasts cut in half n four thighs also skinless)
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, quarterd
  • 1 bunch scallions, sliced. white n green parts seperatd
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided 2 + 1
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon blk pepper
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopd
  • - a squeeze or two of sirachi (optional)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt

How To Make chicken stew

  • Step 1
    IN A LARGE BOWL MIX FLOUR, GARLIC POWDER, PAPRIKA, SALT N BLK PEPPER. COAT THE CHICKEN PIECES IN THIS FLOUR MIXTURE.
  • Step 2
    IN A LARGE PAN OVER MED HEAT MELT 2 TBLSPNS OF BUTTER THEN ADD CHICKEN N BROWN ON BOTH SIDES, ABOUT TEN MINUTES....TURNN OCCASIONALLY.
  • Step 3
    REMOVE CHICKEN TO PLATE N LET SIT. ADD 1 TBLSPN BUTTER, MUSHROOMS AND WHITE PARTS OF SCALLIONS STIR N COOK UNTIL TENDER.
  • Step 4
    ADD CHOPD THYME, CHICKEN BROTH N SIRACHI (if using) N BRING TO A BOIL...REDUCE TO A SIMMER.
  • Step 5
    ADD CHICKEN BACK INTO PAN, COVER N SIMMER FOR 25 MINUTES....TURN 1/2 WAY THRU.
  • Step 6
    STIR IN YOGURT N GREEN PARTS OF SCALLIONS...TASTE N SEASON WITH S n P IF NEEDED
  • Step 7
    SERVE OVER RICE N......ENJOY :)
