Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 4 - boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 cup sliced onions
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 - red apple, sliced
- 1 tablespoon chopped thyme, fresh
How To Make chicken, apples & bacon in a cream sauce

Step 1In skillet, cook bacon bits until crisp, drain on paper towels. reserve bacon fat. Season chicken w/ salt and pepper.

Step 2Dredge chicken in flour in shallow bowl. Cook chicken in bacon fat over medium heat, for 6 min per side. Remove chicken from pan and keep warm.

Step 3Add onions to skillet, cook 5 mins. Add broth and simmer until slightly reduced. Add cider and simmer 5 mins, stirring often. Add apple, thyme and bacon bits. Stir in heavy cream. Add chicken and simmer 5 mins.
