Chicken, apples & bacon in a cream sauce

4 slicebacon, chopped

4boneless, skinless chicken breasts

·salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cflour

1 csliced onions

1/2 cchicken broth

1 capple cider
-
1/2 cheavy cream

1red apple, sliced

1 Tbspchopped thyme, fresh
How to Make Chicken, apples & bacon in a cream sauce
- In skillet, cook bacon bits until crisp, drain on paper towels. reserve bacon fat. Season chicken w/ salt and pepper.
- Dredge chicken in flour in shallow bowl. Cook chicken in bacon fat over medium heat, for 6 min per side. Remove chicken from pan and keep warm.
- Add onions to skillet, cook 5 mins. Add broth and simmer until slightly reduced. Add cider and simmer 5 mins, stirring often. Add apple, thyme and bacon bits. Stir in heavy cream. Add chicken and simmer 5 mins.
