Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive or canola oil
- 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 2-1/2 pound lean ground beef
- 1 package dry onion soup mix
- 1/3 cup chili sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 - 4 oz canned diced, green chilis, drained
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 8 slices pepper jack cheese
- 8 - hamburger rolls, toasted.
How To Make spicy, cheesy onion burgers

Step 1Heat grill to med-high. Combine onions and oil in square disposabe pan. In lg bowl, combine all ingredients except for cheese slices and rolls. Mix well w/ hands.

Step 2Make 8 patties out of mix. Place pan w/ onions on grill and cook, stirring for 10 mins. Remove pan from grill.

Step 3Cook burgers on grill, turning once, for about 10-12 mins. Top each burger w/ a slice of cheese and some onions. Serve on hamburger rolls.
