Ingredients

32 oz
frozen tator tots ( get the extra crispy)
3-4 slice
bacon
1/2
onion finely chopped
3 clove
garlic minced
1 lb
very lean ground beef
1 Tbsp
chili powder
3/4 tsp
ground cumin
1/2 tsp
paprika
1/2 tsp
cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp
oregano, dried
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
black pepper
15 oz
jar salsa con queso/cheese sauce, heated in microwave
Amount
salsa
guacamole
sour cream
several green onions finely chopped

How to Make Tator Tot Nacho Supreme

Step-by-Step

  • 1Prepare the tator tots as directed on the package. I like very crispy so I baked them to very crispy.
  • 2While the tots are baking, fry the bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside to cool. Only leave about 1 Tbls of bacon grease in pan.
  • 3Add the onion and garlic to pan. Cook over medium heat until softened.
  • 4Add the beef and stir to mix. Once the beef is no longer pink, add all the dry ingredients
  • 5Cook to incorporate. I cooked about 15 mins on very low heat (simmer)
  • 6Once the tots are done, transfer them to a platter. Top with the seasoned beef, salsa con queso, salsa, guacamole, sour cream and green onions
  • 7Crumble the bacon over the top and serve immediatly.
