Ingredients
- 1 pound ground sirloin
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 package fresh mushrooms (8 oz)
- 1 large onion
- 1 - envelope brown gravy mix
- 1 cup water
How To Make smothered steak with mushrooms and onions

Step 1Combine first ground sirloin, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into a patty.

Step 2Place large skillet over med-high heat; when hot add patties. Cook 6 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.

Step 3Add mushrooms and onions to skillet; saute 10 minutes. Mix gravy mix and water. Add to skillet; cook 3 minutes stirring constantly. Return patties to skillet and cook 2 more minutes.
