Ingredients

  • 1 - 3-lb boneless beef pot roast
  • 2 1/4 tbls - all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbs - vegetable oil
  • 1/2:teas - salt and pepper
  • 2 medium - onions, diced
  • 1/2 cup - soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 cup - water
  • 1 - 2 1/2 piece ginger root, unpeeled, diced
  • 3/4 teas - ground ginger
  • 1/2 small - onion, chopped

How To Make pot roast with ginger

  • Step 1
    Dip meat in flour and brown on all sides in oil in a lrg pan over medium heat. Set aside. Cook onion in oil and brown bits left in pan just till tender Stir onion and loosen brown bits from pan. Stir in salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
    Spoon onion mixture into 4- quart slow cooker settle roast on top onions. Mix soy sauce, water, and diced ginger in a small bowl, pour over meat.
  • Step 3
    Cover and cook for 8 hours. Stir ground ginger and onion into broth in slow cooker. Serve
