Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup rice, cooked, cooled
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme, dried
- SAUCE (I DOUBLE THIS)
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2-3 teaspoons brown sugar
- 3 or more - shakes of tobasco
- 1 medium cabbage head
How To Make nanny's unwrapped cabbage rolls

Step 1Mix together first ingredients.

Step 2Form 12 meatballs and put in large 5qt pot.

Step 3Mix Sauce ingredients together in large bowl and set aside.

Step 4Shred cabbage over top of meatballs. Pour sauce mix evenly over cabbage

Step 5Bring to boil on stove top. Cover and simmer 1 hour
