my own easy chili

This is quick and not real spicy my husband cannot eat hot recipes ( spicy) He loves this one.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground sirloin
  • 2 cans rinsed and drained dark red kidney beans
  • 1 can diced tomatoes in sauce ( hunts)
  • 1 can diced green chiles ( mild)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 large red sweet pepper chopped
  • 1 medium chopped sweet onion ( videla is my favorite)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste ( i use out of refrigerated tube)
  • - kosher salt and pepper to taste

How To Make my own easy chili

  • Step 1
    Brown ground sirloin Drain well
  • Step 2
    Add chili powder Garlic Onions Red peppers Stir into meat and cook until tender on low
  • Step 3
    Add tomatoes and beans
  • Step 4
    Add water mixing well
  • Step 5
    Simmer about one hour
  • Step 6
    Add tomato paste Simmer until thickened but still like a thick soup consistency
  • Step 7
    Taste to see if needs salt add it and fresh black pepper Add some Franks Hot Sauce if you prefer spicer recipe Garnish with some shredded cheddar/ Jack cheese or fresh Cilantro if you like Serve with crusty bread and butter or hot rolls
