my favorite chili recipe
I make chili many different ways, but this is my favorite go to recipe that I learned from my grandmother Swecker. She never wrote it down, I just watched her make it and paid attention to detail. I have changed it a bit over the years.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 large green pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, diced
- 2 - ribs of celery, fixed
- 6 cups tomato juice
- 1 - 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes
- 2 - 14.5 oz of fire roasted tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons medium heat chili powder
- 1 teaspoon chipotle powder
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1 small bag of pinto beans cooked or 4 cans rinsed
How To Make my favorite chili recipe

Step 1Brown ground beef, when cooked add green peppers and onions and simmer for 10 minutes until tender.

Step 2Rinse Pinto beans and place into a large dutch oven.

Step 3Add all other ingredients to the pinto beans and simmer for 90 minutes so that the flavors combine. Enjoy!
