Ingredients

  • 1 small
    head of cabbage
  • 1 medium
    yellow onion, rough chop
  • 1/2 small
    bell pepper, any color, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    salt & pepper
  • 1 clove
    minced garlic
  • 1 lb
browned ground chuck, do not drain
  • 2 c
    cooked rice, white or brown
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 can(s)
diced tomatoes, small, regular sized can.

How to Make Deconstructed Stuffed Cabbage

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown Ground Chuck, if not too much grease, do not drain. The grease helps to flavor the dish. A 1/4 cup is good enough to leave in the pan.
  2. Add the onions and peppers to pan and cook until tender, about 6-8 minutes
Add the garlic and cook til tender, do not allow to burn, stir often.
  3. Add the cabbage and cook until tender crisp, or to your liking. Then add the cooked rice and heat everything through. Add remaining ingredients and stir together well.
