1 small
head of cabbage
1 medium
yellow onion, rough chop
1/2 small
bell pepper, any color, chopped
1/4 c
worcestershire sauce
1 tsp
salt & pepper
1 clove
minced garlic
1 lb
browned ground chuck, do not drain
2 c
cooked rice, white or brown
2 Tbsp
fresh parsley, chopped
1 can(s)
diced tomatoes, small, regular sized can.

How to Make Deconstructed Stuffed Cabbage

Step-by-Step

  • 1Brown Ground Chuck, if not too much grease, do not drain. The grease helps to flavor the dish. A 1/4 cup is good enough to leave in the pan.
  • 2Add the onions and peppers to pan and cook until tender, about 6-8 minutes
Add the garlic and cook til tender, do not allow to burn, stir often.
  • 3Add the cabbage and cook until tender crisp, or to your liking. Then add the cooked rice and heat everything through. Add remaining ingredients and stir together well.
