I came up with this recipe one evening while trying to figure out what to cook for dinner and this was the result. Yummy!!

prep time 10 Min
cook time 25 Min
method Stove Top
yield 4-6 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 small head of cabbage
  • 1 medium yellow onion, rough chop
  • 1/2 small bell pepper, any color, chopped
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt & pepper
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 pound browned ground chuck, do not drain
  • 2 cups cooked rice, white or brown
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, small, regular sized can.

How To Make deconstructed stuffed cabbage

  • Step 1
Brown Ground Chuck, if not too much grease, do not drain. The grease helps to flavor the dish. A 1/4 cup is good enough to leave in the pan.
  • Step 2
Add the onions and peppers to pan and cook until tender, about 6-8 minutes Add the garlic and cook til tender, do not allow to burn, stir often.
  • Step 3
Add the cabbage and cook until tender crisp, or to your liking. Then add the cooked rice and heat everything through. Add remaining ingredients and stir together well.
