Ingredients

lean ground beef
1 Tbsp
extra virgin olive oil
1 large
onion, chopped
1 clove
garlic, minced
1 small
cabbage head, chopped
2 can(s)
low sodium diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
1 can(s)
8 oz tomato sauce
1/2 c
water
1 tsp
fresh ground pepper
1 tsp
sea salt
1 tsp
italian seasoning

How to Make DECONSTRUCTED CABBAGE ROLLS

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and onion and cook, stirring, until ground beef is no longer pink and onion is tender.
  • 2Add the garlic and Italian Seasoning and continue cooking for 1 minute.
  • 3Add the chopped cabbage, tomatoes, tomato sauce, pepper, and salt and bring to a boil.
  • 4Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.
  • 5Serves 6 to 8.
