Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 1
    onion, cut into thick slices
  • 2 large
    carrots, peeled and cut into 1"-pieces
  • 12 oz
    mushrooms, quartered
  • 4 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1
    14-1/2 oz can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp
    dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 3 lb
    chuck roast, trimmed of fat
  • 1/4 tsp
    each salt and pepper

How to Make Dads slow-cooked, tender pot roast

Step-by-Step

  1. In slow-cooker, combine onion, carrots, mushrooms, garlic and tomatoes. In bowl, whisk together ketchup, mustard and worcestershire sauce.
  2. Pour 1/2 the sauce over veggies. Sprinkle roast w/ salt and pepper. Place roast over veggies. Spread remaining sauce over roast. Cover, cook for 8 hrs.
