Crock Pot Beef Stew

1 1/2 lbbeef stew meat
1 largeonion, big dice
6red potatoes, peeled and cubed
3/4 lbstring beans, cleaned
1 boxlow sodium beef broth
1 can(s)large crushed tomatoes
1/3 ccorn starch to thicken gravy (you can use more if that doesn't thicken enough at end.)
1/4 ccold water
1/4 cdry red wine (optional)
How to Make Crock Pot Beef Stew
- Brown the beef stew meat in fry pan. drain fat.
- In crock pot, put the beef stew in. Followed by the other ingredients except the corn starch. (You can also add about a 1/4 cup of dry red wine if you like.)
- Cook for 4 or 8 hrs. Meat will be tender. Add the corn starch to about a 1/4 cup of cold water and mix till smooth. When beef stew is cooked stir in corn starch mixture and mix till thickened.
