brad's slow cooker chili
A game day favorite around our house. This chili has been refined over several years, including the addition of a couple of unexpected ingredients - Cocoa and Coffee, but believe me when I tell you, it is one of the best you will ever have! Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground sweet italian sausage - removed from casing
- 1 - cubanella pepper - seeded and chopped
- 3 - jalapeno peppers - seeded and chopped
- 1 large onion, diced
- 4 stalks celery, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic - minced
- 2 cans diced tomatoes (14.5 oz) - i like the fire roasted with garlic
- 1 can crushed tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 2 cans chile beans - drained
- 3 tablespoons bacon bits
- 1 cup beer
- 4 packages powdered beef bouillon - or cubes
- 2 tablespoons chile powder
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon minced dried onion
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon ground coffee
How To Make brad's slow cooker chili

Step 1Brown first 7 ingredients in a skillet until meat is cooked. Drain and add to Slow Cooker

Step 2Add all remaining ingredients to slow cooker and cook 4 hrs on High or 6 hours on Low

Step 3Serve with Shredded Cheddar, Sour Cream and your choice of hot sauce!
