The Black and Blue Rodeo in Saginaw Texas is famous for Old Out-of-Shape former rodeo riders to compete one last time for charity. The black and Blue refers to the Day after. I made this for my daughter's picnic basket which was auctioned off during the rodeo

Ingredients For black and blue rodeo brisket

  • 3 Tbsp
    mibnced garlic( i cheat and use the minced garlic in the jar)
  • 1
    4 to 5 lb.beef brisket
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    cumin
  • 1/2 tsp
    crumbled sage
  • 1/2 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground black pepper

How To Make black and blue rodeo brisket

    Preheat oven to 200*F
  • 2
    Rub garlic into both sides of the brisket.

    oombine the remainig ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Rub into both sides of the brisket.

    Set brisket fat side up on a large piece of heavy duty foli. Wrap tightly and seal the ends.

    Place in a shallow roasting pan. Place in the oven and cook for 8 hours REmove from oven

    Let rest for 10 min still sealed. Carve always on the bias. Serve hot or cold with Bronco Busters Barbacue Sauce.
