The Black and Blue Rodeo in Saginaw Texas is famous for Old Out-of-Shape former rodeo riders to compete one last time for charity. The black and Blue refers to the Day after. I made this for my daughter's picnic basket which was auctioned off during the rodeo

3 Tbsp
mibnced garlic( i cheat and use the minced garlic in the jar)
4 to 5 lb.beef brisket
1 Tbsp
chili powder
1 tsp
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
crumbled sage
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
dried oregano
1/4 tsp
cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp
ground black pepper

How to Make Black and Blue Rodeo Brisket


  • 1Preheat oven to 200*F
  • 2Rub garlic into both sides of the brisket.
  • 3oombine the remainig ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Rub into both sides of the brisket.
  • 4Set brisket fat side up on a large piece of heavy duty foli. Wrap tightly and seal the ends.
  • 5Place in a shallow roasting pan. Place in the oven and cook for 8 hours REmove from oven
  • 6Let rest for 10 min still sealed. Carve always on the bias. Serve hot or cold with Bronco Busters Barbacue Sauce.
