This recipe will have them coming back for seconds for sure! I made this tantalizing meal in my electric skillet- but can also be made in large skillet on stove-You can use chicken pieces, pork bites, turkey bites-or scrambled ground beef. Other veggies can be used too,like fresh mushroom pieces,celery chopped or sweet potato bites....You can use white or brown rice or quinoa cooking on top of stove or make in rice cooker.(I used my rice cooker)... My family enjoyed this meal; hope you do too!

Ingredients

  • 2 bags green tea with cranberry pomegranate
  • 2 cups boiling water,divided
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups beef strips, cut to bite size (partly frozen)
  • 1/4 teaspoon meat tenderizer
  • 1 small yellow onion, cut in strips
  • 6 - mini multi colored bell peppers,cut in strips
  • 1 medium grilled ear of corn, stripped and scraped from cob
  • 1 1/2 cups cabbage, cut into strips
  • 1 teaspoon each-seasoned salt, garlic powder,pepper
  • 2 tablespoons heinz sweet chili sauce or 1/2 teaspoon tabasco
  • 1 tablespoon each- soy sauce and seasoned rice wine vinegar

How To Make beef / vegetables and rice

  • Step 1
    To your rice cooker or saucepan add 1 1/2 cups of the boiling water;Add the tea bags and let stand for 1 minute.Squeeze liquid from tea bags into cooker. Add the bouillon to the cooker. Add the rice to the cooker and stir. Cook in cooker till done.
  • Step 2
    Heat electric skillet to high heat(400^).Add butter and let melt. Add beef pieces. Sprinkle with the meat tenderizer,seasoned salt,garlic powder, and pepper. Cook about 6 minutes, stirring to brown all pieces.Remove meat to bowl.
  • Step 3
    Add all the veggies to the same skillet. Sauté veggies for 2 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Add the cooked rice, the remaining 1/2 cup water,chili sauce, soy sauce and seasoned rice vinegar. Adjust salt and pepper if necessary. Add the beef back into skillet with veggie mixture. Stir to combine and heat through then serve...
