My mother used to make this when I was a kid. I never realized how good it was and is!

Ingredients
- 1 pound whole wheat spaghetti
- 1 pound brocoli rapini
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
How To Make whole wheat spaghetti with brocoli rapini

Step 1Boil large pot of water to cook pasta. Salt when boiling.

Step 2Cook the pasta and rapini together in the same water and pot.

Step 3When pasta and rapini are almost done (approximately 10 minutes), put the olive oil in small frying pan. Get it hot, add the garlic and red pepper flakes. Let it saute for about 3 minutes until the olive oil has been infused with the garlic.

Step 4Drain the pasta and rapini. Put in a large bowl, pour the olive oil mixture over the pasta mix. Add salt and pepper and garnish with 1/4 c parmesan cheese.

Step 5Serve hot and enjoy!
