First time I made this I cooked on stove and slightly burnt it but it still tasted okay. I recommend cooking in slow cooker and stirring every hour or so if you can.

How to Make Spaghetti Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Add all ingredients in a crockpot or stock pot, let simmer for at least 4 hours sauce should have reduced and thickened. Stir often if cooking in stock pot. Stir every hour or so if cooked in crock pot.
  2. If adding ground beef, brown in medium saucepan until thoroughly cooked through. Rinse under hot water and drain. Then add to the sauce and simmer for another 20 minutes.
  3. Serve over your favorite pasta. Or use the meatless sauce and simmer skinless, boneless chicken breasts in sauce for about 30 minutes over medium low heat.
