1Add all ingredients in a crockpot or stock pot, let simmer for at least 4 hours sauce should have reduced and thickened. Stir often if cooking in stock pot. Stir every hour or so if cooked in crock pot.
2If adding ground beef, brown in medium saucepan until thoroughly cooked through. Rinse under hot water and drain. Then add to the sauce and simmer for another 20 minutes.
3Serve over your favorite pasta. Or use the meatless sauce and simmer skinless, boneless chicken breasts in sauce for about 30 minutes over medium low heat.
