While visiting in Italy, we ate this dish often. I was able to get the recipe from a sweet Italian lady. Easy, relatively inexpensive, and delightful to enjoy! Will post a picture next time it comes off my stove:)

Ingredients
- 12 ounces linguine or speghetti
- 14 ounces medium shrimp or prawns, in their shells.
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- - chopped parsley
- - minced chili pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup white wine
- - sea salt to taste
- 6 tablespoons olive oil
How To Make scampi

Step 1Wash shrimp or prawns and cut in half lengthwise.

Step 2In a skillet, warm 6 tablespoons of olive oil. Add whole garlic, parsley, chili pepper and shrimp.

Step 3Season shrimp with salt and cook, briefly, until the shrimp begin to turn pink.

Step 4Deglaze pan with wine. Cook until the wine almost evaporates. (the shrimp remain in the pan.)

Step 5Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente.

Step 6Drain the pasta and add to the skillet with the shrimp. If desired, peel the shrimp before adding the pasta.
