pasta and tomato with honey mustard sauce

This is a simple vegitarian pasta dish. I came up with the recipes to enter it in a Washington Post recipe contest. It did not win, but it was published in the paper.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 - garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 ounces cooked pasta
  • 8 - basil leaves

How To Make pasta and tomato with honey mustard sauce

  • Step 1
    Heat olive oil in a saute pan and cook chopped garlic 1 minute.
  • Step 2
    Roughly chop tomatoes and add to pan. Cook until moisture has reduced.
  • Step 3
    Add honey and mustard. Mix and cook two minutes.
  • Step 4
    Season with salt and pepper and serve tossed with your favorite pasta topped with finely chopped basil.
