  • 2 can(s)
campbell tomato soup + 2 cans of water(other brands don't taste as good)
  • 1 large
    onion diced
  • 1 lb
    lean hamburger
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1/4 c
  • ·
    spaghetti noodles

How to Make My Mom's spaghetti sauce

  1. In skillet, cook hamburger and onion until no longer pink, drain, return to skillet.
  2. In large pot, start 5 quarts water to boil. When rolling boil, add noodles. Cook as directed on package ( my mom taught me to put a couple pats of butter in the water, she said it would help keep water from boiling over), drain and coat with butter.
  3. Start Sauce while waiting for water to boil: add the soup, garlic, water, ketchup and seasoning. Bring sauce to slow not boil! Let sauce simmer while noodles cook. Sauce is ready when noodles are finished.
