How To Make my mom's spaghetti sauce
-
Step 1In skillet, cook hamburger and onion until no longer pink, drain, return to skillet.
-
Step 2In large pot, start 5 quarts water to boil. When rolling boil, add noodles. Cook as directed on package ( my mom taught me to put a couple pats of butter in the water, she said it would help keep water from boiling over), drain and coat with butter.
-
Step 3Start Sauce while waiting for water to boil: add the soup, garlic, water, ketchup and seasoning. Bring sauce to slow simmer....do not boil! Let sauce simmer while noodles cook. Sauce is ready when noodles are finished.
