garlic
4 - 28 oz
cans of crushed tomatoes
1 can(s)
water

bay leaves
1/2 c
basil, fresh
1 Tbsp
oregano, fresh
1 Tbsp
sugar
garlic powder, onion powder,salt and pepper

How to Make Homemade Marinara Sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat oil in large dutch oven. Add onions and salt so that onions don't burn. Cook until the onions are soft. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • 2Pour in tomatoes, 1 can of water, and herbs. Cook for 30 minutes.
  • 3Season with salt, pepper,sugar, garlic and onion powders.
