Nothing like a fresh mushroom pizza. Very earthy tasting. I always sprinkle a little crushed red hot pepper flakes on top to give it a bite.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pint refrigerated pizza dough ball, room temp.
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce, i used prego
- 1/4 pound mozzarella cheese, sliced thin
- 1/4 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- - hot pepper flakes, optional
How To Make easy deep dish fresh mushroom pizza

Step 1Heat oven to 500. Using a paper towel, oil the bottom and sides of a lg cast iron skillet. On lightly floured surface, shape dough w/ hands, into a circle, a few inches larger than skillet.

Step 2Place dough in pan, gently press dough up the sides of pan. Spread sauce across dough. Top w/ cheese and mushrooms. sprinkle w/ red pepper flakes, if using.

Step 3Bake 20 mins, or until cheese is melted and bubbly, and crust is browned. Transfer to cutting board. Slice into wedges.
