colleen's best ever and tasty lasagna
"Meaty and delicious this is one of my family and friends favorite" It is some what time consuming but very well worth it. You will not be disappointed!!!

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 pound italian sausage, no casings
- 1 large onion
- 2 - cloves of garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 2 - (14 1/2 ounce) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 - (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
- 24 ounces cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
- 2 - eggs beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- 1/2 - cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 pound mozzarella cheese
- 12-15 - lasagna noodles

Step 1Brown ground beef, Italian sausage, onion and garlic

Step 2Add salt and next 5 ingredients

Step 3simmer 1 hour.

Step 4Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.

Step 5Spray a 13x9" baking pan with cooking spray.

Step 6Combine cottage cheese or ricotta cheese, eggs, pepper, 2 tablespoons of parsley, Parmesan cheese and 1/2 of mozzarella cheese; In a lasagna pan layer noodles, meat sauce and cheese mixer; repeat.

Step 7Top off with layer of noodles; and remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake @ 375 for 40 minutes or until cheese is melted. Let stand for 15/20 min. before cutting.
