"Meaty and delicious this is one of my family and friends favorite" It is some what time consuming but very well worth it. You will not be disappointed!!!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 pound italian sausage, no casings
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 - cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 2 - (14 1/2 ounce) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 - (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
  • 24 ounces cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
  • 2 - eggs beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1/2 - cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound mozzarella cheese
  • 12-15 - lasagna noodles

How To Make colleen's best ever and tasty lasagna

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef, Italian sausage, onion and garlic
  • Step 2
    Add salt and next 5 ingredients
  • Step 3
    simmer 1 hour.
  • Step 4
    Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  • Step 5
    Spray a 13x9" baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Step 6
    Combine cottage cheese or ricotta cheese, eggs, pepper, 2 tablespoons of parsley, Parmesan cheese and 1/2 of mozzarella cheese; In a lasagna pan layer noodles, meat sauce and cheese mixer; repeat.
  • Step 7
    Top off with layer of noodles; and remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake @ 375 for 40 minutes or until cheese is melted. Let stand for 15/20 min. before cutting.
