This wonderful recipe was given to me by a close friend years ago and it has been a family favorite ever since! Enjoy! :)

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 29 ounces can petite diced tomatoes
- 2 - small cans tomato paste
- 12 - cooked lasagna noodles
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 1 pint ricotta cheese, part-skim
- 2 tablespoons dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 pounds shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese

Step 1Preheat to 375*. spray 9x13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 2Sauce: Brown Ground beef, onion and garlic. Mix in basil, oregano, brown sugar, salt, diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer for 30 minutes

Step 3Mix together: eggs, ricotta, ½ cup parmesan cheese, parsley and teaspoon salt.

Step 4Lay four noodles in bottom of baking dish. Cover with sauce, ricotta mixture and mozzarella cheese. Repeat until out of noodles. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.

Step 5Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining grated parmesan cheese. Serve with Italian salad and crusty garlic bread or bread sticks.
