Ingredients

  • 1 -12 inch - loaf italian (or french) bread
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 stick salted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup freshly chopped basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup freshly chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • dash kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper

How To Make garlic cheese bread

  • Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Step 2
Slice the loaf of bread in half, lengthwise.
  • Step 3
Add the garlic, herbs, butter, and Parmesan cheese to the bowl of a food processor and pulse until well incorporated. Alternatively, you can finely chopped the ingredients and fold together using a rubber spatula.
  • Step 4
Spread the butter mixture down the inner length of both slices of the bread. Wrap the pieces in aluminum foil and put them on to a baking tray. Bake until the bread crisps up and the cheese melts, about 10 minutes. At this point, remove the foil, sprinkle the slices with Mozzarella Cheese and season with salt & pepper, to taste. place back on baking tray, return to over and continue baking until cheese bubbles, about 5 minutes.
  • Step 5
Remove the bread from the oven on to a cutting board and slice before serving.
