Ingredients

  • 2 bags potatoes, frozen (chips )
  • 500 grams bacon (cut into small pieces )
  • 4 large eggs
  • 300 milliliters thickened cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 pinches salt and pepper
  • 1 cup green shallot (finely chopped )
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, low-fat (shredded )
  • 1 large red capsicum ( chopped into small pieces )
  • 1-2 tablespoon butter (for grease baking dish)
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs, dry (for dusting baking dish )

How To Make french potatoes

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 170 C Grease the baking dish with butter and dust with bread-crumbs,then start make it layers.First put on bottom potatoes chips,then bacon,little bit of cheese,shallots and capsicum.Season with salt and pepper.Repeat until you use all potatoes.Last layer must be potatoes.In a small bowl mix milk with eggs and thickened cream and pour over potatoes.On top sprinkle the remaining cheese.Put to oven and bake until all milk is evaporated or when the top is nice and golden. Serve on its own or with any meat.
