Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 - onins, coarsely chopped
- 1/4 cup lite or regular mayonnaise
- 1 large french loaf bread, cut in 1/2 lengthwise
- 6 ounces shredded swiss cheese
How To Make french onion bites

Step 1Preheat broiler. In lg skillet, over med-high heat, heat oil. Add onions and saute until browned.

Step 2Spread the mayonnaise over cut sides of bread. Place bread on a baking sheet and broil 6" from heat until light brown.

Step 3Remove bread from oven. Cover each side of bread w/ some onions. Top evenly w/ cheese. Broil 2-3 mina, or until cheese melts. Cut into bit-size pieces for a quick appetizer.
