I wish I had a story to go along with this dish, but sadly I don’t. This is just one of those recipes that starts out in my mind, and then I cross my fingers, and hope for the best. I did these on my baby…” yes I call my BBQ my baby “ ha ha ha. If you like flavors with a kick, please try the chili garlic sauce…you won’t be disappointed!

Ingredients

  • - 2 pounds jumbo shrimp “cleaned and deveined”
  • - 1 – 12 can frozen orange juice
  • - 3 tablespoons turbinado sugar
  • - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • - 4 tablespoons chili garlic sauce

How To Make who you calling a shrimp?

  • Step 1
Pour the orange juice into a medium sauce pot, simmer the juice till it is defrosted.
  • Step 2
Once the juice starts to simmer “ you don’t want this to boil” add the sugar.
  • Step 3
    Then add the soy sauce.
  • Step 4
And finally add the chili sauce.
  • Step 5
Simmer this till the sugar has dissolved. Once it has, turn off the heat and let this cool down completely.
  • Step 6
    Soak the skewers in water.
  • Step 7
Skewer the shrimp on “two skewers each “ this keeps the shrimp from turning around.
  • Step 8
Pour the orange juice over the shrimp and marinade for at least 1 hour.
  • Step 9
When you are ready to cook these once you have them either on the BBQ or how ever you intend to cook them, pour the remaining marinade over the shrimp.
  • Step 10
Cook these “depending on the size “ for about 6 minute per side. They should be firm to the touch.
