Ingredients

tomato puree large can
1 small
onion
2 clove
garlic crushed
2 Tbsp
olive oil
1/4 c
red wine
1 Tbsp
sugar
2 can(s)
tuna (packed in water)
1 can(s)
peas
2 Tbsp
romano cheese
3/4 lb
whole wheat thin spaghetti
4 c
water to boil pasta

How to Make Tuna and Peas with Whole Wheat Spagetti

Step-by-Step

  • 1Put olive oil in pot. Brown the onion and garlic
  • 2Add the tomato puree and let it cook for about 30 minutes
  • 3Add the wine and then the sugar. Simmer another 30 minutes
  • 4Break the tuna apart and add to tomato sauce
  • 5Add the peas and cheese, simmer for another 15 minutes.
  • 6Boil water for pasta. Add salt and pasta. Cook pasta for about 10 minutes
  • 7Drain pasta, put sauce over the pasta and serve
  • 8Add more grated Romano cheese to taste
