    tomato puree large can
  • 1 small
  • 2 clove
    garlic crushed
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/4 c
    red wine
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 2 can(s)
    tuna (packed in water)
  • 1 can(s)
  • 2 Tbsp
    romano cheese
  • 3/4 lb
    whole wheat thin spaghetti
  • 4 c
    water to boil pasta

How to Make Tuna and Peas with Whole Wheat Spagetti


  1. Put olive oil in pot. Brown the onion and garlic
  2. Add the tomato puree and let it cook for about 30 minutes
  3. Add the wine and then the sugar. Simmer another 30 minutes
  4. Break the tuna apart and add to tomato sauce
  5. Add the peas and cheese, simmer for another 15 minutes.
  6. Boil water for pasta. Add salt and pasta. Cook pasta for about 10 minutes
  7. Drain pasta, put sauce over the pasta and serve
  8. Add more grated Romano cheese to taste
