Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 1/2 cup italian salad dressing
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 - lemon cut in wedges

How To Make simple salmon fillets

  • Step 1
    Place fish and dressing in a plastic bag seal and massage to distribute the marinade. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove the fish and discard marinate. Heat a large oven proof skillet over medium heat. Melt butter and place fish skin side down in pan. Once skin is nice and brown about 3 minutes turn fish over and just brown about 2 minutes don't over do this step then flip fish back over onto the skin and place skillet in oven. When fish is done remove to a plate cut into serving pieces and serve with lemon wedges. .

    I use a cast iron pan for this as it holds the heat well and gives you a nice crisp skin.
